At last - a supplier for Custom Coated Swarovski Crystals

I've seen the ads in magazines - you know, the ones showing those luscious custom coated Swarovski colors? But till recently, I couldn't find a supplier for them.  Oh, happy day! I found Mimi's Gems - a treasure trove for Swarovski lovers. Check it out - bet you'll be tempted!!  Here's my fave - crystal rosaline gold - scrumptious.

Great news for Canadian beaders

Bead Craze in British Columbia have great pricing on Swarovski crystal in their EBay Store and will soon be launching their own online bead store! No border delays or Customs hassles. I've often bought from them and they are lovely folks indeed.

I've been invited...

...to teach at the Arts Council again in the fall, and to exhibit my jewelry at their Art Show & Sale this weekend. That's a great way to sell some stuff  - and make money so I can...........buy more beads, what else?

Just bought some lovely tiny white satin flowers to incorporate into a bridal piece. Also some lovely milky pink glass beads. And I have all evening to play with them.... and here is the result.

OK - I admit it...

...I love jewelry.  I love designing it, making it, buying it, selling it, teaching it. I love beading, silversmithing, wire wrapping, chain maille, Precious Metal Clay, filigree.  The only thing I haven't yet gotten into is bead stitching (note I say "yet").

I am going through a Swarovski phase at the moment. I've gone through phases where I've been head over heels for semi precious, pearls, glass and metal.  For now, it's those fabulous crystals in those fabulous colors!

I hope to share tips, tricks, design ideas and resources with other like minded beading maniacs through this blog.

My sister suggested I start a blog (she has a blog at http://whitemorn.typepad.com/ and a website at http://www.vintageretrolingerie.com. She's crazy for everything and anything vintage, including jewelery (or jewellery, as it's spelled in my homeland, Ireland).  I built her website for her (it was a lot of  work, but hey, she's one of my 3 beloved sisters). She's put tons of time and effort into it, and is now being rewarded by showing up in Google's Top Ten for vintage lingerie, retro lingerie, and burlesque lingerie.

She lives in Ireland, I'm in Canada, the site is hosted on a server in Kentucky and the main support for the shopping cart software comes from a lady in Venezuela. It's a small word, after all.
